Susan S. Freeman, MBA, PCC, NCC
Executive Success Strategist
Author and Speaker
Founder, Step Up Leader
Susan works with motivated, high-achieving leaders and influencers who have driven themselves to a crisis point; they’re out of love with their business and so worn out they can’t take another thing. Her passion is helping leaders get to the root of what is holding them back to access the natural leader within, so they evolve their leadership in a balanced, sustainable way. When they do, they experience passion, clarity and exceptional results.
Susan Freeman is Founder and President of Step Up Leader and the author of the new book, “Step Up Now: 21 Powerful Principles for People Who Influence Others.” She is a frequent speaker at leadership and professional meetings and has appeared on national television and radio on the topic of transformational leadership and influence.
She received her M.B.A. in Marketing from Columbia University and her B.A. in Psychology from Wellesley College. Susan is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, having received her coach training from The Newfield Network. She is also a certified business facilitator from the MSP Institute. Her training in numerous eastern wisdom practices is extensive and diverse, and includes Amrit Yoga Nidra. Susan is a native of Kansas City and resides in Tampa, FL. In Tampa she is an active member of The Athena Society and a Leadership Tampa Alumna. She has founded or served on several educational boards at the secondary and university levels.
Her current passion is developing and mentoring young female entrepreneurial leaders. She works closely with The Akilah Institute to help empower young women with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become leaders. Her book connects her to the school, where it is used in curriculum and where she donates all profits from its sales. She is also a mentor with the Emerge Tampa program of the Greater Tampa Chamber.
Susan is happily married and has three grown sons. Her hobbies include ballroom dancing, travel and yoga. Rarely a day goes by when she doesn’t eat a piece of dark chocolate.
